#115 - Part 1 - I swapped the winter season in the US for the summertime in the small tourist and sports-oriented town of El Chalten, Patagonia, Argentina.
Okay, so this is fiction, right? :) I like the premise: sell the necklace, then steal it and sell it again. Clever. A real cliffhanger, James. Looking forward to chapter 2.
Thanks, Bob! I would like to visit down there. From what I've seen, it is beautiful. I'm surprised with the difficulty re your son's car at the border.
We headed south from there and crossed the border at a small post on a dirt road after an extended discussion with the lone official. I wrote about it here:
Good luck. I get paid a little something every month to report stuff like this to the FBI, but if you can match what they pay + 10%, I’m your huckleberry.

: ) Oh, yeah. Thank you, K.C.
I'm in for part 2. You're making me root for the bad guy!
Thank you, Jim. Ha! - me too!
Intriguing start Ron. Looking forward to a successful heist in the next instalment.
Almost made it to El Chalten but the Argies didn't like my son's Chilean registered car and threatened to keep it if we continued across the border.

This was a few years ago when the war between them was still hurting.
Wow, Ron! This is a surprising new direction! I will look forward to chapter 2. Do you have it all written or are you writing it as we read along?
Hi, Sharron. Yes, trying something different. Doing it as we go along. I think just one more chapter for this one.
Cool!
Good opener, James. Writing first person makes me feel I am there with the character. So, yeah, what happens next?
Hi, Helen. Thank you! We'll have to see. I don't know yet, myself. : )

I'll keep you in mind.
