You give King Leonardo all the attributes of royalty: a commanding voice, courage, vision, strength, leadership, and enough humility to know he will one day be de-throned. I like that the King uses Guy and Gal to describe the humans. Yes, when the Gal screams, the Guy better take action or pay the price later.

These attributes you mention where not pre-thought. It is satisfying to see how a story comes together when at the outset we don't know where it will go. I best liked the part where Guy is called upon to "Do something." Yes, or "pay the price." Thank you, K.C.

I really love this perspective from the animal kingdom. It is wonderfully convincing.

"All I can see is mine. All that would matter to a Lizard." I sure do love that line. You somehow managed to get into the mind of a lizard. I have to say I never read anything from the point of view of a lizard. I often write from the point of view of a cat, but cats are easy. Lizards are inscrutable.

"They can see my power as I strut my stuff, chomping at the air." Yes! They do chomp at the air. Very entertaining! But, about that stalker Bobby.... Cats will do what cats will do, and damn, lizards are fun toys.

Hi, Sharron. I'm glad you enjoyed it. They do seem foreign, gotta be the reptile in them. The only reptiles I'm comfortable around. They are like toys to a cat, for sure. Thank you very much!

Nicely done, James. Enjoyed it. Here we have lizards too, hiding under flower pots and in the rocks. Beware the dogs, though. Not as fast as cats, maybe, but they too want a taste. We also have a possum who comes by at night to eat from the fruit trees. Makes the dogs nuts if they go out at night, but no way can they climb the trees. Anyway, I love lizards.

Hi, Victor! Thank you. Yes, dogs will dig for them. I love lizards, also.

This is great! It reminds me that I had a pet lizard that lived among the vines that covered a part of our porch. One day it was there; the next, it wasn’t. Leo is fortunate! He survived Cat. 🙂
