Imagine growing up as a kid with a rifle, a couple of dogs eager for a chase, and a night hunt. Now imagine growing up in front of a screen. It makes getting soaked, scratched, brushed by spiders the size of a half dollar, and spending hours looking for the dogs sound pretty good indeed.

We were lucky to grow up back then.

Absolutely right about growing up back then. It was a different time and place for sure, and I think fortunate for us.

Quite the adventure James. Well written. I could see you two crashing and stumbling about, trying to keep up with the dogs. Made me feel like a kid again.

“Are we nuts?” I would shout out! “Is this fun, or what!?” Johnny would say.

I would answer YES to both these questions. Men! Unbelievable...

Hi, Sharron. Ha! It didn't help that I was young and naive, gullible, and not too smart. And then there was Johnny. What could go wrong. : )

I kind of wonder if Sharron would have been right there in the middle of all that fun.

Thank you, Jim! When I was a kid, I had a lot of countryside to play in and the freedom to explore it. Like yours from what I've read. I've managed to add to my early adventures. I do feel fortunate. Thanks again.
