Oooo! I loved this story! Great writing, James Ron! What an interesting character. I hope you don't tell anybody where he is. We don't know his reasons, but we know he just wants to be left alone. And he is doing no harm. He has a good thing going if he is just not disturbed.
PS I have spent some time in Willow Creek in northern California, where they are somewhat obsessed with Big Foot. We camped out. Everyone slept on the ground. I slept in the VW bug! Hah!

Oh yeah! Big time Bigfoot in Willow Creek. Good for tourism with Bigfoot/Sasquatch in the neighborhood. I remember "Forest". : )
We got bears and Sasquatch up here in Canada, too. Usually it's the polar bears up north who do the most damage...
