I don't know anything about ranching, but that sounds like a lot of calves to me. So you had this experience as a result of giving a hitch-hiker a ride. That's how it works, isn't it. I always enjoy your storytelling, James..
That is a fair number of cows and calves for one older person that's for sure. Isn't it crazy how things happen? I do believe in Serendipity. Something to look forward to. Thank you, K.C.
I am so glad you reposted this one, Ron. I just love your road trips and reading about all the interesting people you have met. Great writing, my friend.
I would have liked to spend more time there but we had to move on with the time we had for the trip. Ellen was a character. Thank you, Sharron, I most appreciate it.
Great story, and wise move keeping the van up top, James. I once went down a snow covered back road in the Rockies and got stuck for a week. Ha. Should have asked you about it first...
Hi, Victor. Thank you. Yes, it was no road for a van with only regular street tires. I hope you had supplies or could get them. Hope you didn't have to be anywhere during that time.

Another great adventure, cowboy. I feel like I'm right along with you. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you and thanks for coming along, Jim. I appreciate it!

I was traveling and living in my van, so had food and a coleman stove. It was a mess getting out of there, though... :)
Too many people go along. Not enough people make their own way.
That's for sure. Going our own way is difficult, or frowned upon, until you do it.
The last of real Americana
I think so. Thanks, Barry.
