What a great story. I loved their optimistic outlook, both finding the good in a bad situation. "This isn't so bad." "It's rather nice isn't it? "Downsizing!" "Kind of romantic." The realization that they had each other -- and possessions didn't matter. And that they could start over. Inspiring. Based on a true story, Ron? Or pure fiction?

They were fortunate to have each other. Probably anything less than optimism would break a person. I'm familiar with hurricane flooding but not anything like a debris flow. Thank you, Sharron.

Yes, it seems that barriers breakdown and we get along in such times. Maybe it is a 'share the shock' response.
