Yes, it was home, where they wanted to be. Thank you, K.C. Btw, was through El Paso a couple of days ago, I honked, one long three short, in case you heard it. : )
I did not hear you honk. I was probably asleep.:). I did catch the vibe, however. When I heard you were traveling, I thought you might be coming this way. I hope you had a good trip.
What a great story. I loved their optimistic outlook, both finding the good in a bad situation. "This isn't so bad." "It's rather nice isn't it? "Downsizing!" "Kind of romantic." The realization that they had each other -- and possessions didn't matter. And that they could start over. Inspiring. Based on a true story, Ron? Or pure fiction?
They were fortunate to have each other. Probably anything less than optimism would break a person. I'm familiar with hurricane flooding but not anything like a debris flow. Thank you, Sharron.
A tough situation. I admired them for staying at their home even though it was washed away. It was still home. An inspiring story, James.

Your writing is really good and it made the story more engaging. Keep writing, fellow writer!
Hello, PAD. Sorry the delay getting back to you, I've been traveling. Thank you very much, I value your opinion. "Keep writing, fellow writer!" - U2!
As long as we've got each other...
That's the key, for sure.

We know how to pull together during a disaster. It’s one of our positive national traits still intact.
Yes, it seems that barriers breakdown and we get along in such times. Maybe it is a 'share the shock' response.
Another great one. I don't know if I would have handled it as well as the couple did.
I don't think I'd do well either. Especially in such a short amount of time. Thank you, Jim.
