You made me wonder about a lot of past friendships that somehow floated away in the fog. It makes me wistful as I think about them.

Me, too. People I thought at the time I would know forever. Little did we know how time can change things.

A story close to my heart. I have been surrounded by musicians most of my life, and you have captured the experience well. It's too bad your friend couldn't catch a break with his recordings. It is always "The carrot dangling before the horse." Great memoir!

Perhaps having a plan for the future is less important than being able to look back without regret.

Nice memoir James. It really is hard to keep in touch with people as the years pass so quickly. I hope he is alive and well and doing what he loves.

Brrrr. The Tenderloin. The stuff of nightmares, day or night. A movie could be made about the area and everyone would think it was fictional and directed by Ridley Scott.... I hope he got out of there, too. Great memoire, James Ron.

That place has always been a mess and it just gets bigger. Re movie - 👍. I hope one day I'll hear from Jonnie. Thank you, Sharron!
